Job Vacancy as a Business Development Manager

Job Description:
As a project manager and business development manager, it is your responsibility to identify new business opportunities, develop new relationships, generate and negotiate new income/ business deals. You must have a commercial awareness, credibility and energy to play a leading role in new business initiatives
You will also be in-charge for the entire development cycle for the project from customer requirements to delivery of professional services projects. The Project Manager must have the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently and to exemplary standards, have a very clear delivery focus and be adept at managing change.

PROJECT/PRACTICE RELATED COMPETENCIES

Project /Practice Management:
  1. Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  2. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  3. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  4. Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  5. Effectively applies company methodology and enforces project standards.
  6. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  7. Minimizes company exposure and risk on project.
  8. Prepare and ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Project Accounting :
  1. Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  2. Manages project budget.
  3. Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
  4. Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  5. Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Financial Management:
  1. Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  2. Understands company pricing model and billing procedures.
  3. Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Business Development:
  1. Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  2. Proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discover and exploring opportunities
  3. Assisting with sales proposals, tender responses and assist customers by having discussions with them concerning how our services can to meet their requirements.
  4. To develop and enhance strategic planning and management processes, tools, templates and business planning process.
  5. To carry out market/industry research in providing market, industry and business intelligence on new opportunities, risks and threats which may impact the group’s strategies and plans.
  6. Monitor the marketplace & competitors, keeping on top of industry trends
  7. Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and assessments.
  8. Effectively conveys company message in both written and verbal business development discussions.

Communication:
  1. Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  2. Holds regular status meetings with project team.
  3. Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
  4. Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
  5. Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  6. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  7. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  8. Technical Understanding
  9. Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design & maintenance.
  10. Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
  11. Possesses a thorough understanding of company capabilities.
  12. Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies

PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES
Qualification:
  1. PMP is preferable (not mandatory).
  2. Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or related field
  3. At least 5 years of working experience in IT project management
  4. Leadership
  5. Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
  6. Manages the development of team by ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each Innovator's career interests.
